The is a custom made bracket that accepts the brake cables coming from the rear end. A single cable connects it to the handle under the dash.

The parts from Speedway worked out well. They needed some trimming to fit our seats and we cut off the feet and decided to weld the tube to the floor.

Both seats stands are tack welded in place. It feels good. They won't be welded in solid until the steering column is in place.

New front cab mounts were fabricated too. The cab is bolted down solid and we are going to start on mounting the steering column and other components that penetrate the floor and/or the fire wall.

After all the stuff I didn't want was cut out, I framed the floor with 1" square tubing. The new door jamb sections are clamped in place.

5/11/07 I had to remove another one of the factory crossmembers to make clearance for the transmission. In this shot the engine mounts are almost ready to weld in.

Both front cab corners are rusted out. The floor, firewall, door jamb, and cowl all have to be replace in this area. The fire wall and floor pans need to be custom made, regardless of the rust issues. The door jamb and inner cowl are the worst.
